Mirror, mirror on the wall….

Look in the mirror. What do you see? You stare intently as you evaluate your imperfections. You see the things you have done, the words others use to describe you, and the qualities that make the collage known as “you.” But do you know how beautiful you are?

Your eyes– whether green, brown, or blue, twinkle with My reflection. You were made in My image child, a perfect, rare, one of a kind masterpiece. Your eyes display the beauty and the depth of that concept.

I love the way you smile. Your full cheeks rise with momentum and passion as you laugh with joy. Do it more often child! Find a reason to smile even when others convince you there are none. Let the joy that is deep in your heart, the joy that no one can take exuberate for the world to see!

I love the way you look when deep in thought. Your brows concentrated and frozen, your face expressionless. Your mind desperately processing the hundreds of voices that speak to you and trying to strain through the clutter for which one is Mine. It takes time to be still, but when you are, you’ll hear the gentle whispers I speak directly to your heart.

Look at the many facets of your body. Fearfully and wonderfully made is only the beginning of the description I have for you child. I marvel at you as a mother does her newborn baby. Do you know the work it took in orchestrating the daily minute by minute functions of even your smallest organs? The depth of planning and creating the miracle of you? Precision in every millisecond and absolute synchronization of every vein, muscle, and organ for ever the simplest mundane tasks you daily perform.

Consider the canvas of skin I have wrapped you in. Sometimes the blemishes, wrinkles,  stretch marks, or excess fat is all you see. But your skin– the beauty of the way it protects you is a miracle too. It’s pigment is like no other human on earth. It’s individually yours. Embrace it, live in it, and love it. For it is one glowing part of your individuality I have gifted you with.

Your mind is beautiful child. The thoughts, talents, and passions I have placed and engraved deeply within are yours alone. Use them! Glorify Me with what I have given you and your beauty will be blinding to those around you. Never minimize what I have equipped you with. Never allow anyones words to devalue them. What validity do their ignorant comments have? Absolutely none at all. You are mine and I am perfecting you because it is I who made you!

I love you My sweet child. Listen to My voice, listen to My Word, listen to what I say about you. I know it’s difficult, sometimes even confusing or overwhelming to believe. But you are Mine and I want to be involved with every second of your life. Use what I have given you! No one else can fulfill the purpose I have placed on your life. You cannot pass that torch. You are beautiful, unique, and indispensable child. Don’t cheat the world by hiding it.

Your Father.

Tiffany– it’s mind blowing isn’t it when you look at yourself the way God does. I wish I had more then “a few rare glimpses”

The voice of “our Father” IS sometimes hard to find in all the chatter around us, but I heard it today in your post. Thank you. You will never know how much I needed to hear exactly this today.
